It has been her experience that there are many probates where full representation by an attorney is not necessary, however, the named Personal Representative would like some guidance on how to navigate the probate process. This program is far more than just downloadable forms for you to fill out; it is a detailed roadmap on how to navigate the probate process.

Module 1: Opening The Probate Estate
In Module 1 we cover everything from gathering the documents you'll need, preparing your legal documents to open probate, going to court (in person or virtually), and obtaining your Letters Testamentary.
Module 2: Administering the Probate Estate
In Module 2 we walk you through the steps needed to administer probate. This includes getting the estate its EIN, an estate bank account, issuing necessary notices, creating the inventory, selling real estate, tax filings, and dealing with any debt of the decedent.
Module 3: Closing the Probate Estate
In Module 3 we cover what you need to know in order to close probate, including making distributions to heirs and filing necessary notices with the court.

I created Welcome To Probate because in my experience as an estate planning and probate attorney, I encountered many scenarios where clients were capable of handling simple probate estates on their own, but they just needed some guidance. That's the gap this program fills. This is more than just forms; I have created video instructions for every lesson in each module, walking you through exactly what you need to do and how to do it. I even screen share how to complete tasks, provide you with all the forms you need, and empower you to handle your loved one's estate without the added cost of hiring an attorney.
